Adams Farms is a sixth generation family farm located in the Florida Panhandle and the only Florida Century Farm in Walton County. As Adams' have been caretakers of this land for over 100 years we strive to naturally enrich the soil for the generations to come. Although as a young man Leonard spent time studying at Auburn University, since those years, he and David have come to follow the philosphies of Dr Carey Reams and Dr Alexander Beddoe. This quest has found them turning away from chemical farming and to a more natural approach. This not only makes our food more nutritious but also increase the brix rating thus showing scientifically that our produce is better quality and better tasting. (for more information on Brix Ratings go to www.highbrixgardens.com) The superior quality carries to the grains and grasses given to animals and thereby improves the quality of meat and eggs from those animals.

Benefical insects increase as chemical use is decreased. This makes the farm environment healthier for our animals and family.
The safety of food available through our grocery stores has come into question over the last few years. Food recalls are occurring more and more often. Our animals are being fed antibiotics and hormones at an alarming rate and our fruits and vegetables are being treated with unknown chemicals and being genetically altered for one reason or another. We now import more food than we are producing in our own country, these imported foods are not being inspected and they are being treated with chemicals that were banned in this country several years ago.
As a consumer you can make a choice not to buy these foods. Buy directly from the producer, visit the farm and see how your food is being raised. Talk to the grower and hear how he feels about the quality of what he grows.
We care because we eat what we sell!
Our own concerns for the quality of the food available in US markets has increased our desire to grow food free of antibiotics, hormones, or toxic chemicals of any kind, nor do we want any products that have been genetically altered. Most food available in US markets has one or all of these contaminates. Adams Farms is committed to providing only the best quality chemically free products.
Is it more expensive to raise food this way? Yes it is, however we feel benefits will far outweigh any costs. Once you taste you will never want to go back to chemically toxic foods.
Remember our food contain no preservatives so always refrigerate to maintain freshness.

The number of family operated farms in the United States has been reduced by about 90 percent since World War II, with them have gone the supportive farm villages and towns that have lost their farm businesses and now exist as bedroom communities for nearby cities. The large agribusiness buys directly from the supplier and do not support local businesses.
Thanks to the new trends in sustainable farming, led in part by the Amish communities, the trend in patronizing the locally owned small businesses is slowly returning.
